*Frights and Heights is from 6:30 – 9:30 pm, the time you select is for your Haunted Tram Ride to the Top tickets.


PHOTOS

Photo packages are available from Photogenic both when you purchase tickets online (Save $10 if you buy now) or in the Tram Lobby the day of the event. The package includes printed photos, digital photos with three different Halloween-themed backgrounds and a souvenir photo frame.

EVENT DETAILS

The tallest monument in America will become the spookiest monument when the Gateway Arch transforms into a family-friendly Halloween party full of tricks and treats. Event attendees are encouraged to wear their best costumes and participate in various Halloween-themed activities. General admission to the family-friendly Halloween party is FREE, but advance registration is required, and space is limited. Tram ride tickets are available for purchase with early bird discounts. Kids may want to bring some jokes (because that's how St. Louis trick-or-treats) and we will supply gift bags for all to collect candy and non-candy treats throughout the evening! You can show off your costumes by sharing photos or video of the evening with #FrightsandHeights and tag @GatewayArchSTL on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!


The spooktacular evening includes:

  • Trick or Tram | Your haunted ride to the top of the Gateway Arch features spooky sights and sounds (Ticket Purchase Required)
  • Ghost Stories | History comes to life in the Museum at the Gateway Arch as the ghosts of Meriwether Lewis, a French fur trader, a pioneer girl, and more come to life through living history performances
  • Playful Face Painting | You’ll look hauntingly good after a little makeover
  • Boo-loon Animals | Artists will bring your favorite creepy crawlers to life
  • Creepy Crafts & Games | Express yourself with your very own pumpkin craft or rainbow scratcher. Other activities include a witches brew cauldron game, skeleton puzzles, cornhole, arch blocks, button making, temporary tattoos and a very big “I Spy” game
  • Puppet Shows in Tucker Theater | Don't miss the puppet shows at 7, 8, and 9 pm as Lewis and Clark describe their adventure in the west and share some spooky and true stories from the trails
  • Free Cruise | Every child will receive a free One-Hour Riverfront cruise ticket from the Riverboats at the Gateway Arch, good for the 2025 cruise season

*Family-friendly costumes are encouraged. No weapons, real or fake will be allowed into the facility. Masks can be worn but must be removed for the security checkpoint.


Tram ride may not be fully accessible to guests with mobility impairments. For more information visit the accessibility section of our website.


For your safety, all Gateway Arch visitors must pass through an airport-style security checkpoint. Please allow up to 30 minutes to go through security on a busy day.


Rescheduling and Refund Policy: We understand that plans can change. Contact our Call Center at (877) 982-1410 to reschedule for a future date.

To be eligible for a refund, you must contact us with more than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled activity. With less than 24 hours notice, only a ticket voucher for a future date will be issued. If your scheduled event has already passed, refunds or vouchers will not be granted. If you complete your ticketed experience, you are no longer eligible for refunds or exchanges.
